What HEAT is
- A club night with two floors: warm, euphoric House on the Main Floor (22:00–06:00) and proper Berlin Techno in the Dungeon (23:00–04:00).
- The whole club is phone-free. Instead of photos there are thermal cameras in two marked Heat Zones, projected live and never recorded.
- Snacks, fruit and ice cream are included in your ticket. There are chill areas, a smoking lounge and free earplugs.
- Sex-positive and LGBTQIA+ friendly, with a trained awareness team on the floor all night.

Getting there
INSOMNIA, Alt-Tempelhof 17–19, 12099 Berlin. U6 Alt-Tempelhof is a few steps away; S-Bahn Tempelhof (S41, S42, S45, S46) is about a 7-minute walk. On weekend nights the U6 runs all night. Open in Maps

Bring photo ID: HEAT is 18+. There’s a door policy, and effort with your outfit counts. Turned away after buying a ticket? You get your money back.

Your phone and your street clothes stay here: the whole club is phone-free.

Inside
Dance on two floors, cool off in the chill areas, grab snacks at the snack station. The Couples area above the Main Floor is for couples (or couples +1).
The Heat Zones: you choose
Only two areas have thermal cameras, both marked: the front of the Dungeon dancefloor and the back of the Couples area. Everywhere else there are no cameras. Don’t want to be on camera? Just stay out of the zones.

Only the back. The front has no camera.
Projected live. Never recorded.
- No faces
- The sensor reads body heat, not detail: shapes, movement, touch. Nobody is recognizable.
- No file
- Nothing is saved. The image goes to the projector, then it’s gone.
What to wear
- Sexy, kinky, fetish or futuristic.
- Effort is the entry, not money or labels. Be creative.
- No streetwear: no jeans, no everyday outfits.
- You’re not just a guest inside the concept, you are part of it.

How consent works here
- Only a clear yes is a yes. Maybe means no, and a yes can be taken back at any time.
- Ask first. Stop means stop.
- The awareness team is on the floor all night, wearing glowing LED wristbands. Go to them if anything feels off.

First-timer questions
Can I come alone?
Yes, very welcome. Plenty of people come solo.
Do I have to do anything sexual?
No. Most people come for the DJs, and just dancing is completely fine.
Do I have to be on the thermal cameras?
No. Stay out of the two marked Heat Zones and you’re not on camera.
What if I’m turned away at the door?
The door policy applies to everyone. If you’re turned away after buying a ticket, you get your money back. No-shows aren’t refunded.
Can I buy a ticket at the door?
Yes, until 03:00: €30, cash only. With a ticket you can come in until 04:30.
Can I pay by card?
No. INSOMNIA is cash only, the bar included. Bring cash.
Is there a cheaper ticket if I’m 28 or under?
Yes: the 28 & UNDR ticket (age 28 or under) is €20. Bring photo ID.
Is the venue accessible?
Unfortunately not. INSOMNIA is in a protected building and the floors are spread over several levels with stairs, so there is no step-free access.
